The gods got rebuilt from scratch

Eight gods, one sealed. Seven orders, one class tree each, Ragnarok-style branching. The old pantheon was too generic to keep.

The rule that made it work: one god is one order is one class tree. No god shares an order, no order shares a tree. That constraint killed about thirty pages of ambiguity and made the whole slate designable in an afternoon.

The eighth is not a twist we are saving for a trailer. He is a hole in the table that you notice on your first day, and nobody in the world will explain it to you.
